Evernote (software)

Evernote is billed as "a single place for all your notes." It's a nice application and concept with room to grow. I've been playing with it for a while now and haven't quite gotten into a groove, but with enhancements planned for the next year or so, it will just get better. My main roadblock is that this is a program loaded on my PC...in other words, not accessible to me away from home. Over the next 12 months or so you should be able to load it on your USB flash drive, sync it up with another user online, and eventually, use a web-based version. Much to look forward to!

Rhino Store Shuts its Doors

This is a true downer. I've always had a "you had it coming" attitude toward the music business - even when I worked in it - but browsing the aisles at Aaron's and the Rhino shop in L.A. was always one of my favorite things to do, so it sucks to see places like this take the hit. THIS, more than anything - at least to me - is the final nail in the coffin of the old-school world of music buying.

Reusable FedEx® Envelope

FedEx now uses envelopes that can be used twice. You get a package from FexEx and open it, and there's another one of those peel-off sticky stips inside. OK, so this isn't too big a deal, but pretty cool nonetheless. Now if the Jiffy Bag folks would catch on.
